Surfing in Barbados in November
As we get closer to winter months the south swells consistently pick up and Surf Breaks on the south coast come alive again. Beginner Surf Lessons shift from Surfers Point more to Dover Beach and Freights Bay while the intermediates have a lot of their Surfing Lessons at Drillhall/ Brandons.
These awesome waves have had our guests booking repeat Surf Lessons as the thrill seekers gain confidence in the bigger waves. We are seeing more and more repeat clientele not only for Surfing Lessons but also for Surf board rentals as guests realize what potential Barbados offers as a Surf Destination. Small and relatively easy to get around you cannot go wrong as even if you stay on one coast and the waves are small a mere 40 min drive will get you to more consistent Surf.
The Annual International Surf Competition will take place at Soupbowl from Nov 7-10 and that has attracted the usual foreign pro surfers. Saturday and Sunday will be exciting days as we get into finals. The waves are up so it should be a fun weekend at Soupbowl, Barbados.
